

Prodigy Capital is a private FSA regulated fund management boutique which invests in emerging markets. We are a research driven organisation, focusing on analysis of stocks and sectors using techniques and analytic tools developed over several market cycles.
A thematic approach allows us to focus on opportunities linked to structural sector trends and to invest in the best stocks available globally. Prodigy has long-term relationships with company management throughout the emerging markets which have been nurtured over the last twenty years.
Prodigy was established in 2002 in London. Our investors include institutional clients, family offices, funds-of-funds, staff and high net worth individuals.

David Robinson (Managing Principal and Portfolio Manager) graduated from the Yale School of Management in 1988. After graduation he moved to Hong Kong as Regional Investment Analyst at Baring Securities covering India, Hong Kong/China, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam. David was a top-rated investment analyst, consistently rated 1st/2nd by Extel and Institutional Investor.
In 1992 he was promoted to the group management board of Baring Securities. In 1994, he left Barings to join HSBC (formerly James Capel) as Regional Investment Strategist, based in Hong Kong.
In 1997 he joined Sofaer Capital, the first Asia ex-Japan equity long/short hedge fund, working in Hong Kong as a portfolio manager, becoming a Director in 1998. He left Sofaer Capital in 2000. He is the founder of Prodigy Capital Partners.
David has 10 years of experience managing money in emerging markets including positive returns in the 1997-1999 bear market at Sofaer Capital.
